Rectangles

As requested we brought in a few larger pots and a few more rustic/natural looking ones.  While some are more formal, some of these would look great with Jason & Randy's ponderosas, firs & spruces.  I'll have to keep a couple for myself and pots some up this fall to show how great the combinations can and will be.

My wife says I need to improve my picture taking - and she may be right.  Let me know how they look.  Click to enlarge.

Round Pots

There are a couple great rounds here for shohin pines and maples, and one great pot for an azalea.  You'll see some more rustic and rough finishes as requested.

More Pots

Here are some more pots - a semi-cascade that is screaming for a ponderosa and a wonderful shohin oval.  Sorry about the poor quality of pics - I am still working out some bugs with the camera.  Click to enlarge.

Pet Bowls

We all know that while we love our trees, we love our pets even more.  It stands to reason that we should have the opportunity to have some great looking bowls for our pets that combine the love for our pets with our aesthetic tastes.  I have brought in some samples of pet bowls - all high-quality ceramic with custom lead-free glazes, and of course no drainage or wire holes.  Give them a look and let me know what you think.  Remember, click for large pics.

Charles Gluskoter Pottery

Last year we were introduced to Charles Gluskoter through Dan Robinson, and Jason & Walter went to visit him and commissioned some pots from him - his first attempt at bonsai pots in a while.  Charles is an amazing potter - check out his stuff here: www.potterybyhand.com

Charles is in the process of retiring from pottery and as such is only firing one kiln load per year now.  If there is minimal interest in his pots, we will wait until his next firing before having any available - which may be late this winter.  If there is major interest and we can commission pots, we might be able to convince him to add a firing to his schedule later this summer.

Check out a couple of his pots below, and look to Walter's site in the future for some potted trees.  If you are interested in more info about the pots, feel free to contact me.

Here are a couple of close ups of the unique glaze Charles uses.
